Before you begin reading the beer reviews, please take a moment to read how each beer is rated on this site.
Ratings Guideline:

Beers are rated on a five glass scale then the score is averaged out.
The beer ratings are broken down into five categories. The categories are,
Pour: The pour judges the color, the clarity and the carbonation.
Head: Judges the head and lacing.
Aroma: Judges the smell of the beer.
Taste: Judges the taste of the beer and mouthfeel.
History: History has little significance when it comes to judging the final product. There are plenty of brewers out there who've been around for many years yet make an inferior product compared to some spanking new brewers. However, if you will notice every beer rating has a history rating of 5. When I was developing a way to rate the beers I had intentions of using this rating but later decided against it.

More about the ratings
The ratings are two parts. The category rating and then the average rating. The category rating rates the individual characteristic of the beer and is denoted by the number of beer glasses. 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest. The average score, which you will see represented by beer mugs, works in increments of half and rates the overall characteristics of the beer.

A basic guide for beer tasting.

Never taste your beer in the bottle it came in.
Find a suitable glass for the style of beer you want to try. If you can't find a suitable glass almost any design of pint glass will work.
Why 16oz pint glass? Because most beers are 12oz and you need room for your head to grow my dear Watson.
Don't use a plastic cup to pour your beer into. You actually may get by with using a brand new plastic glass but if you wash it first you'll definitely take the flavor of soap with it, so plastic is a no-go.
Clean your glass by washing it with hot, mild (non-ultra) soapy water followed by a cool rinse and then allow the glass to air dry. Make sure your palate is clean before you taste a beer.
